Wildland Fire - 04/02/11 - Durango, CO

Shortly before noon on April 2nd, 2011, the Durango Fire Rescue Authority was dispatched to the area of 458 County Road 308 for a report of a controlled burn that was now out of control. High winds plagued firefighters from DFRA Stations 7 and 1 as the fire made a number of runs across the dry fields. While the fire was contained with the first hour or so, units remained on-scene mopping-up into the evening.
