Brother Don Poses with My Close Friend and Almost Brother Brian Tavis

“If Prometheus was worthy of the wrath of heaven for kindling the first fire upon earth, how ought all the gods honor the men who make it their professional business to put it out?” - John Godfrey Saxe (American journalist, poet, and lecturer) circa 1850.

My brother Don (who serves with our hometown of Millburn, NJ’s Fire Department) and I represent the fifth generation of our family's involvement in the fire service. This is a fact that I am extremely proud of.

The links that follow tell the story of our family’s fire service history. Please check back for updates.
