Los Pinos Fire Photos

LPFD Operating at 8825 County Road 310 on July 4th, 2007

The Los Pinos Fire Protection District provides fire suppression and emergency medical services to a 325 square mile area of Southwest Colorado. The Fire District encompasses portions of LaPlata and Archulata Counties, and includes the communities of Oxford, Tiffany, Allison, Arbolies, and the Town of Ignacio. A substantial portion of the District consists of Southern Ute Tribal Lands, Bureau of Land Management property, territory belonging to the U.S. Forest Service, Division of Wildlife areas, and land owned by the State of Colorado.

I came to work for the Los Pinos Fire Protection District as their Deputy Chief on May 19th, 2003. That was two days after I retired as the Chief of Department in Farmington, NM. I got to enjoy my retirement for a weekend before getting back on the job. I will be posting LPFD Photos in this section of BuffaloHeadFire.Com as I can. Please check back for updates.
