- Church Fire - 12/28/08 - Flora Vista, NM
On December 28, 2008 at approximately 15:39 hours, San Juan County Fire Units were dispatched to a report of a structure fire at 1061 Highway 516. Command reported smoke showing and started requesting mutual aid.
- Brush Fire - 02/15/09 - Bloomfield, NM
On February 15th, 2009 at approximately 1340 hours, the Bloomfield Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a brush fire behind the Best Western Hotel at 415 South Bloomfield Boulevard. First arriving units encountered a fast moving fire in a field of light fuels.
- Brush Fire - 03/02/09 - Cedar Hill, NM
On March 2nd, 2009 at approximately 1500 hours, San Juan County Fire Department District 3 (Cedar Hill) was dispatched to a brush fire in the area of 257 County Road 2900. A large plume of smoke was starting to dominate the afternoon sky as dispatch was giving reports that the fire was spreading to nearby trees.
- Suspicious Package - 03/23/09 - Bayfield, CO
On March 23rd, 2009 the Upper Pine River Fire Protection District responded to a report of a suspicious package at the Town of Bayfield’s Water Treatment Plant located at 215 Lakeside Drive.
- Vehicle Accident - 06/15/09 - Archuleta County, CO
On June 15th, 2009, shortly before 1700 hours Bayfield Town Marshals were attempting to stop a suspected drunk driver when they were led on a chase along eastbound US Highway 160. Shortly afterwards the feeing vehicle crashed at the 117 mile marker.
- Smoke in Building - 06/16/09 - Bayfield, CO
On June 16th, 2009 at approximately 2000 hours, the Upper Pine Fire District was dispatched to 8520 County Road 501 for a report of smoke in the building. The business at this location, Indian Motor Works, specializes in the restoration of Indian Motorcycles. The cause of the smoke was found to be a malfunctioning neon sign.
- Structure Fire - 07/05/09 - Bayfield, CO
At approximately 4:30 a.m. on July 5th, 2009, Upper Pine River firefighters were dispatched to Virginia’s Steak House at 18044 County Road 501 on a report of a structure fire. The restaurant has been a landmark in the Vallecito Lake area since the late 1970’s. Engine 62, under command of Lieutenant Kevin Griego, arrived on scene and reported smoke showing from the two-story log building.
- Structure Fire - 07/14/09 - Bayfield, CO
On July 14, 2009 at approximately 9:20 p.m. Upper Pine firefighters were dispatched to a report of a structure fire at 23486 County Road 501. The fire occurred in an approximately 100 foot by 100 foot occupied vacation cabin located on the property of the Wilderness Trails Ranch. The first arriving engine encountered a well involved building, with a motor vehicle and trees as an immediate exposure.
- Shed Fire – 08/02/09 – Hart Valley, NM
On August 2nd, 2009 at approximately 1430 hours, the San Juan County Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a shed fire on County Road 3004. Units arrived to find a large shed at #7 County Road 3006 fully involved.
