Vehicle Accident – 07/13/10 – Durango, CO

On July 13th, 2010 shortly before 0800 hours, Durango Fire Rescue Authority (DFRA) firefighters were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 172 and County Road 302 for a three vehicle accident. The crash involved two SUV’s and an 18-Wheel Belly-Dump Truck. The incident required the closure of the highway for several hours. The driver of the Ford SUV required extrication prior to being transported to Mercy Medical Center. The specific cause of the accident is being investigated by the Colorado State Patrol.
